Every DGMS inspection follows a predictable pattern: returns, registers, training records, and safety infrastructure. Being inspection-ready is simply a matter of having these twelve things in place before the inspector arrives.
1–4. Statutory Returns & Registers
- Monthly returns under MMR 1961 filed on time (Form 1, 2, 3, 4 as applicable)
- Accident register, inspection book, and complaint register up to date
- Explosive magazine register reconciled with PESO licence conditions
- Ventilation, dust, and water-quality monitoring records filed
5–8. People & Training
- Statutory certificates for all managers and supervisors (First Class / Second Class)
- Blaster licences valid and on display
- Annual refresher training completed and documented
- Competency matrix showing every role is covered
9–12. Safety Infrastructure
- First-aid boxes, rescue equipment, and emergency plan current
- Signage, fencing, and berms per regulation
- Seismograph and blast records for the last 12 months
- Environmental monitoring (air, noise, water) within NAAQS limits
